Twitter influencer Solomon Buchi has expressed skepticism and concern over Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s recent venture into the ministry.

In a lengthy post on Twitter, Buchi questioned Edochie’s spiritual journey, asking about his spiritual father, the church he attends, and who has guided him in his faith.

Buchi highlighted Edochie’s recent controversies, including allegations of adultery and his stance on polygamy, suggesting that these issues make him unfit to preach the gospel until he undergoes repentance and healing. He urged Edochie to focus on mental care and reflect on his life before embarking on a ministry.

Buchi stated, “Yul Edochie is making a caricature of the Christian faith,” and expressed embarrassment on behalf of Christians due to Edochie’s recent actions and the launch of his online ministry.

This criticism follows similar sentiments from others, including media personality Noble Igwe, who expressed confusion about Edochie’s sudden shift from real estate business to ministry. Igwe suggested that something seemed off about Edochie’s decision. Former reality TV star Nina Ivy also remarked that Edochie had called himself, not God.

Despite the skepticism, Yul Edochie held his first online service for The Salvation Ministry on January 28th, where he shared his journey of being called by God. Edochie reassured his fans that he was not abandoning his acting career for ministry and emphasized that doing God’s work was his destiny.
