Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has recounted a troubling experience with a prominent logistics company. Taking to her Instagram page, the businesswoman and actress accused the company of poor customer service, mishandling her package, and questionable practices by their staff.
According to Uche, a package was sent to her from Abuja, but she received no notification for five days. After sending her personal assistant to the company’s Ajah office, she was informed that a PIN was required to retrieve the package, even though she had not received any text messages from them.
Later, when Uche personally visited the office, she was met with further complications. The staff initially claimed her package wasn’t there, only to later demand a “demurrage” fee for its release. Despite her pleas and request to see a manager, she alleged that the employees on duty refused to assist, appearing to work in concert to extort her.
Expressing her frustration, she said, “Logistics companies are robbing people and stealing belongings in broad daylight. It’s disheartening to see even big names like GUO engage in such practices.”
Uche also highlighted that as a business owner who frequently uses logistics services, she has had numerous packages lost or mishandled, leading to significant financial losses. She urged the company to caution its staff and called for greater accountability across the logistics industry.
