The ongoing dispute between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and her former boss, EeZee T (Ezekiel ThankGod Onyedikachukwu), has drawn the attention of social critic Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM).
The situation escalated after relationship blogger Solomon Buchi addressed the issue, prompting VDM to respond with allegations and insights into the controversy.
VDM revealed that Solomon Buchi reached out to him on Instagram, inquiring whether he had heard Mercy Chinwo’s perspective regarding the allegations. The conversation led VDM to post screenshots of their discussion, accompanied by his take on the situation.
VDM alleged that Mercy Chinwo leveraged her influence with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have EeZee T imprisoned. He claimed that EeZee T was forced to pay $274,000 to his former signee before he was released.
Additionally, VDM accused Mercy of earning money while under contract with EeZee Conceptz but refusing to remit the funds to the record label. He further suggested that Mercy was not being completely truthful and was allegedly using bloggers, including Solomon Buchi, to influence public opinion against EeZee T.
In response to VDM’s claims, Solomon Buchi reportedly pointed out that EeZee T had received more than just $3,500 from Mercy during their time working together. However, VDM countered by accusing Mercy of breaking her contract and using the media to sway narratives in her favor.
VDM announced that the court hearing for the case between Mercy Chinwo and EeZee T is scheduled for February 14, 2025. He expressed an interest in attending and urged Solomon Buchi to address his questions regarding the matter.
In a video shared online, VDM alleged that Mercy Chinwo was manipulative and was using her position within the Christian community to evade accountability for her actions against EeZee T and his record label.
