Nollywood veteran Jumoke George has made a heartfelt plea to Nigerians for assistance as she battles homelessness, deteriorating health, and personal hardships.
In a recent interview with Biola Bayo, the actress revealed that she has been homeless for nearly six years, residing in her church, where the pastor’s wife has been providing her meals. Her health has also been a major concern, as she has been in and out of the hospital since January, accruing significant debts. Jumoke disclosed that her son has borrowed close to ₦2 million on her behalf, and she now requires ₦400,000 for urgent brain and heart tests.
Adding to her pain, she shared that her eldest daughter has been missing for four years, leaving her to care for her grandchildren.
Reacting to her plight, actress Biola Bayo urged Nigerians to come to Jumoke George’s aid. Sharing the veteran’s account details, Biola revealed that Jumoke’s situation deeply troubled her, and she couldn’t hold back her emotions after hearing the actress’s story.
I couldn’t wait any longer. Her story broke my heart. Madam Jumoke George desperately needs our help,” Biola said, calling on Nigerians to offer financial support and prayers.
Jumoke George’s struggles are not new. Last year, she recounted her strained relationship with her parents following their divorce, which left her abandoned by her mother and alienated by her father’s new wife. Despite her challenges, she remains resilient but is now at a breaking point, seeking the goodwill of Nigerians.
