Description
An exciting opportunity is now opened for the role of a full time Veterinary Technician at Innova Veterinary, Lagos State Nigeria. We are looking for a very zealous individual with passion for veterinary medicine and caring for animals. Successful candidate will be working as a full-time Technician alongside Veterinary Surgeon during the operation of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Cover client interactions together with working directly with animals during routine consultations and in-hospital care.
- Work within a small, friendly team and support the Vet directly during consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures.
- Working safely, competently, and effectively with a wide range of domestic and companion animals.
- Keeping the practice and equipment clean and hygienic.
- Preparing animals for treatment and assisting vets during treatment.
- Give injections, medication and remove stitches.
- Comfortable with operating X-rays, imaging and diagnostic equipment.
- Take care of in-patient animals
- Support and talk to pet owners about treatment and care of their animals
- Undertake reception and administrative duties
Qualification
- Minimum of HND in Animal Science and or other related fields and having the following skills
- At least 2 years experience working within similar industry.
- The successful applicant will be energetic.
- Very proactive with a mature and sensible approach to the duties.
- A friendly and efficient telephone and personal manner are required.
- Computer literate with ability to work with business management systems, Smartdvm
