This job is perfect for a candidate who has built a track record in telling visual stories and developed a versatile skillset for end-to-end video production, from preparing scripts, to shooting and directing footage to editing it into powerful stories. Responsibilities
Development of Full Concept for Visual Content Creation Across the Company
- Devise comprehensive concepts for visual content creation, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and branding strategy
- Craft innovative and engaging visual content strategies that resonate with diverse audiences and meet specific project objectives
Preparation and Execution of Video Shoots (Internal Equipment Available, Travel Required)
- Plan and coordinate video shoots, leveraging internal equipment and resources efficiently
- Execute on-location video shoots, overseeing logistics and ensuring a seamless and productive production process
Editing of Footage into Compelling Videos
- Edit and refine recorded footage into compelling and high-quality videos, maintaining a captivating narrative and visual appeal
- Utilize editing software to enhance visual elements, ensuring the final product aligns with the established content strategy
Supervision of Video Content Production with 3rd Parties
- Oversee and manage video content production in collaboration with external partners or third-party agencies
- Coordinate with external teams, providing guidance and ensuring deliverables meet the set standards and objectives
Quality Assurance and Publishing of Visual Content
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on visual content before publication, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Manage the publishing process, ensuring timely and effective distribution across appropriate platforms
Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in videography, shooting, and video editing across various multimedia platforms
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling video content, engaging audiences through diverse storytelling methods
- Extensive proficiency in operating cameras, shooting footage, and editing videos to maintain a captivating narrative
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), and audio editing tools
- Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools, web development basics, and UX/UI design principles related to video content
- Track record of contributing to and executing video-centric content strategies aligned with business objectives
- Exceptional multitasking skills, efficiently managing simultaneous video projects with enthusiasm
- Visionary perspective on Africa’s economic development, passionate about reshaping narratives through impactful video storytelling
