West Ham United has set a price tag for captain and midfielder Declan Rice, as the club is ready to let the English international leave this summer.
Sky Sports states that West Ham will allow Declan Rice to leave this summer if they receive £120m from a Champions League club.
The Hammers would also accept £100m plus a player for a midfielder; Arsenal is the most likely destination for Rice, with Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool also interested.
Arsenal has long been considered favourites to sign Declan Rice when this summer’s transfer window begins. However, fresh reports that West Ham United valued the midfield player at £120 million raises doubts over the feasibility of such a move.
Chelsea is also an option for Rice, but the midfielder is seeking Champions League football, which would not be available next season.
Rice will have one year left on his contract this summer, but West Ham can extend it by another year. He rejected the offer of a new £200,000-a-week contract 18 months ago.
It seems unlikely that Manchester United will pursue Rice. However, sources have linked Scott McTominay to the Hammers as a potential replacement if Manchester United shows interest. Rice’s weekly pay is approximately £70,000, and he can expect to earn at least three times that amount when he moves this summer.
