Why I rejected N30m donation from Kebbi Gov — Pastor Enenche

Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre recently revealed why he turned down a N30 million donation from Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris.

The clergyman explained that his decision was based on his commitment to maintaining the integrity and independence of the church.

According to Pastor Enenche, accepting such a substantial donation from a political figure could create the perception of compromise or undue influence.

He emphasised the importance of keeping the church’s mission pure and free from any associations that might raise questions about its motives. The pastor stated that the church relies on the support of its members and well-wishers, ensuring that its operations remain transparent and accountable.

He further clarified that his refusal was not a condemnation of the governor or his intentions but a personal conviction to uphold biblical principles.

Pastor Enenche stressed that the church must remain a place of refuge and spiritual guidance, untainted by political or financial entanglements.

The pastor’s decision has sparked mixed reactions, with some applauding his stance on integrity while others questioned whether the funds could have been used for charitable causes. However, Enenche maintained that the church’s work would continue through the faithful contributions of its congregation, ensuring that its mission remains uncompromised.
