Nollywood actor and comic Williams Uchemba has taken a firm stand against men who deliberately impregnate women without the intention of marrying them.
In a recent Instagram post, Uchemba expressed his frustration with what he described as a troubling trend among some men who father children out of wedlock due to their aversion to commitment and marriage.
Uchemba criticized this behavior as “madness” and “stupidity,” emphasizing that such actions are harmful not only to the men involved but also to their children. He highlighted that many of the world’s problems stem from broken homes and underscored the importance of marriage as instituted by God.
Hey guys, what’s this madness that we do now? Especially some of the young men I see now, what’s this stupidity? If you think you are screwing, you intentionally impregnate your girlfriend to have a kid because you don’t want to be committed to a woman and don’t like the idea of marriage. It is an idea from the pit of hell, and if you are planning to do such a thing, remove yourself from that madness because what you don’t know is you are not just destroying your life, but you’re also destroying the life of that child, who you might not be there to raise,” Uchemba said.
He further warned women who intentionally have children with their boyfriends, especially in the entertainment industry, against such practices. Uchemba urged them to reconsider their choices, attributing such behavior to misguided influences.
In a previous post, Uchemba shared that the greatest gift he received in his life was his family and the Holy Spirit. Recently, he welcomed his first child with his wife, expressing how much he values his family.
Uchemba also opened up about his mother’s desire for a male child, which he believes contributed to his blessings. He recounted how his mother, after having four daughters, made a covenant with God to dedicate him to His service in exchange for a male child. Uchemba expressed gratitude for the fulfillment of her promise, attributing his blessings to this divine agreement.
