Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has apologised to Afeez Owo, sharing a video of herself kneeling on a movie set as she sought his forgiveness. The actress, with another colleague beside her, approached the veteran actor to make peace after their public disagreement.

In her caption, Wumi explained that she chose to apologise because she considers herself an ambassador of culture, and even in anger, elders must remain respected. She added that she has let go of every grudge and embraced peace, thanking Afeez for accepting her apology.

Her move follows Afeez’s earlier interview where he said Wumi only reacts when pushed. Wumi didn’t take his comments lightly at the time and fired back online, accusing him of unnecessary drama despite his age.

After reflecting, she shared another video from a plane, describing it as the face of a repentant child and thanked fans for the tough love.

Wumi’s reconciliation with Afeez is not new. She also apologised to him publicly last month during Odunlade Adekola’s movie premiere, where she knelt before him. In 2023, the actor and his wife, Mide Martins, apologised to Wumi over an editing error that caused backlash for her.
