Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola got the warmest homecoming ever as her friends and colleagues pulled off a dramatic surprise at the airport.

The actress, who had been away for some months, was welcomed back by her “Ginger Squad” — Kiekie, Bisola Aiyeola, and Bolaji Ogunmola in grand style. The trio went all out, hiring a troupe of dancers and singers to celebrate her arrival, complete with music, flowers, and laughter.

A visibly excited Wumi couldn’t hold back her joy. She immediately joined in the fun, showing off her playful side as she danced and joked around with her friends.

Taking to her X (Twitter) page, she wrote:

“Kiekie, Bisola, Bolaji gave me a groundbreaking welcome back party 😂😂😂😂.
Dem even dress pass me wey just come back 😂.
The Gingerrr Squad is complete now.”

The heartwarming video quickly went viral, attracting reactions from fans and colleagues alike.

Actor Femi Adebayo commented, “God bless your hustle, girls.”
Actress Bakare Zainab added, “I love it,” while veteran Fausat Balogun reacted with laughing emojis.

Others couldn’t help but hail Wumi’s lively personality and her strong bond with her squad. One fan wrote, “You can’t just dislike Wumi Toriola. She’s full of vibes!” Another teased Bolaji Ogunmola, saying, “She doesn’t know what she signed up for.”

This warm reunion comes after a major career milestone for Wumi.

The actress made history last year with her first cinema release, becoming the second-highest-grossing producer of 2024. Her film pulled in ₦57.7 million in its opening weekend — the highest Nollywood opening weekend for a non-holiday period and the biggest ever for an independent distributor.

Her achievement earned her the Box Office Champion of 2024 award from the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), solidifying her position as one of Nollywood’s most successful producers.
