Nigerian influencer and entertainer Yhemo Lee has spoken out following rumors of trouble in his marriage to Thayour, less than a year after their lavish three-part wedding in Lagos.
The speculation began after Yhemo shared a message advising men not to “die for any woman,” warning that such sacrifice would only end in personal loss. In another post, he described isolation as a gift, explaining that while it may initially feel like punishment, it often brings clarity and personal strength.
These statements quickly went viral, leading many to believe the entertainer was experiencing marital problems.
Addressing the chatter, Yhemo Lee dismissed the rumors, stating that he expected such drama from online in-laws.
“I wasn’t expecting any less from them. Since they’ve had nothing from me to chew on, they decided to cook up stories for themselves.
Men should do better for themselves. All the men in TKAM dey oh, and if you look closely, all the women remain alive.
I saw a post of a man breaking down over what his wife is putting him through. You need to see the comments of the daughters of Jezebel. Hence, my outrage. Shalom,” he said.
Yhemo further questioned why people assumed he would publicly share personal crises, adding that his family was enjoying life while others speculated about his marriage.
Yhemo Lee and Thayour tied the knot in August 2024 in a star-studded wedding that included an engagement, civil, and traditional ceremony. The couple welcomed their first child in January 2025, sharing heartwarming maternity photos to announce the joyous news.
