Yomi Fabiyi, a prominent Nollywood actor and filmmaker, has taken his quest for justice for the late singer Mohbad to a new level by conducting a private investigation.
The actor, who is also a known Human Rights activist, announced his initiative on Instagram, revealing that he has been working on this investigation for three days. However, due to concerns over safety and privacy, he will not be sharing all the details with the public.
In one of his posts, Yomi shared a video of his visit to CURA_MED hospital, where he affirmed that the hospital had followed proper procedures and provided overwhelming evidence. He praised the staff for their efforts and reiterated his commitment to conducting a thorough and impartial investigation.
Visited CURA-MED HOSPITAL today. The hospital did everything right and showed overwhelming proof. Kudos to the staff,” Yomi wrote. “This is the 3rd day of the investigation. Not every detail of our investigation will be made public for the safety and right of privacy of all involved. We will do our best to play our part for a better and safer society.”
Yomi also announced plans for a peaceful demonstration on September 11th, 2024, in front of the Coroner Inquest Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, ahead of Mohbad’s first remembrance. This assembly aims to continue the call for justice for the late singer, a cause Yomi has been vocal about since the beginning.
Reactions to Yomi’s efforts have been mixed. While many fans and followers have praised him for his dedication, others are skeptical about the potential outcomes of his investigation. Some expressed concerns over his safety, urging him to take precautions.

Yomi Fabiyi’s involvement in the case dates back to earlier this year when he supported Mohbad’s father’s request for a DNA test for his grandson. Yomi emphasized that everyone is a suspect until proven otherwise, and it is essential to seek closure through proper legal channels.
Despite the mixed reactions, Yomi remains steadfast in his mission, urging anyone with vital information to come forward. His determination to uncover the truth and seek justice for Mohbad is a testament to his commitment as a Human Rights activist.
