Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has revealed the room where he was hiding before fleeing Nigeria after an alleged assassination attempt.
Fabiyi took to Instagram to share that his life was in danger, narrowly escaping an attempt on his life two days prior, with plans to kill him again on Sunday night. The actor expressed gratitude that the plot was unsuccessful, saying he could have been buried if the attackers succeeded.
Fabiyi emphasized that he did not collect money from anyone, yet his life is being threatened due to his fight for justice. Currently in hiding, he mentioned that he refused to let his body be used for an “experiment.”
In the Instagram post, Fabiyi shared a video of the room he stayed in before being taken directly to the airport. Now in a “safe country” where the system works for everyone and authorities don’t cover up crimes, he thanked his followers for their support and promised to return after undergoing necessary procedures. Fabiyi is determined to tell the story of his ordeal, stating, “Aluta Continua! No retreat, no surrender.”
Fabiyi’s ordeal may be linked to his involvement in the investigation of late singer Mohbad’s death. He had previously announced his private investigation into Mohbad’s demise but kept the details private for safety reasons.
