Yoruba Nollywood actor Ibrahim Bello Sanyay, popularly known as Baba Lawori, has issued a desperate plea for justice following a vicious assault allegedly orchestrated by an aide of Lagos socialite Koko Zaria.
In a harrowing account shared on his Instagram page, Baba Lawori recounted the events that led to the attack during his role as Master of Ceremony at an Idimu Day event. He described how he was lured away under false pretenses, only to be confronted and assaulted by individuals associated with Koko Zaria.
As he attempted to return to the stage after the misleading summons, Baba Lawori was ambushed, struck with a bottle, and left unconscious, covered in blood. He awoke in a hospital, grappling with physical pain and emotional trauma from the unprovoked assault.
Seeking solidarity and support from fellow Nigerians, Baba Lawori emphasized the need for justice to be served against his attackers. He expressed disbelief at the brutality he endured and called for collective efforts to identify and hold the perpetrators accountable.
