Nollywood Yoruba actors have rallied around their colleague, Peju Ogunmola, as she mourns the painful loss of her son, Ayomikun.
According to reports, the young man tragically lost his life after slipping in the bathroom. Despite efforts to reach him, help did not come in time. Sources revealed that Ayomikun, who was based abroad, was alone when the accident happened, a circumstance that worsened the situation and led to his untimely passing.
The devastating news has left Peju, who resides in Ibadan, shattered. To console her and her husband, veteran actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papi Luwe, several Yoruba film stars paid them a condolence visit at their home in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Among those present were Dele Odule, Ronke Odusanya, Fausat Balogun, Dupe Jayesimi, Bimbo Oshin, Ebun Oloyede, Olaiya Igwe, and Fali Werepe, among others, who came together to show love and solidarity with the grieving couple.
Sadly, Peju’s tragedy is one of many recent painful losses in the entertainment industry. Last year, actor Francis Duru lost his son, Ifeanyi, whom he described as a lion who fought bravely till the end. Comedian Aphrican Ace and his wife also lost their newborn, while skit maker Olagunju Solomon Olamide, better known as Akika, announced the loss of his son on Father’s Day in 2023.
