Renowned Nollywood actor and producer Yul Edochie has sparked curiosity by revealing the reason behind his hefty N20 million appearance fee. Known for his larger-than-life persona, Yul has shared that his presence at events is more than just physical—it carries a spiritual weight rooted in his heritage.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Yul detailed the unique experience he offers at events. According to him, he attends gatherings with the spiritual presence of his ancestors and ten thousand spirits from Nteje and Umudioka, two significant locations in Igbo tradition.

“When I charge you 20 million naira to make an appearance at your event, I do not come alone. I come with all my ancestors and ten thousand spirits from Nteje & Umudioka.”

He shared this during an appearance at an event in Nsugbe, where he supported his friend, Barrister Tochukwu Nweke (SAN), at the burial ceremony of his father.

Yul’s spiritual identity has been a recurring theme in his recent public appearances and statements. The actor has described himself as a deity and native doctor, emphasizing his strong connection to traditional Igbo spirituality.

In March, Yul revealed that God directed him to embrace the traditional practices and ways of his people, which he believes are divinely approved. This revelation marked his transition to becoming a spiritual leader, blending elements of tradition and religion.

“When I came back home, I became complete.”

Through his various posts, Yul has positioned himself as an advocate for traditional Igbo culture, often emphasizing that these practices align with divine will and are a path to salvation.
