Nigerian music icon Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has weighed in on the escalating conflict within the music group P-Square, which involves brothers Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), Peter Okoye (Mr P), and their older brother, Jude Okoye.
The tension among the Okoye brothers has been brewing for some time, with recent events bringing the dispute to the forefront. The feud became more intense when Rudeboy revealed P-Square’s latest split during an interview with City FM. He disclosed that Peter had reported him and Jude to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly misusing the group’s funds.
Peter, in an open letter, accused Paul and Jude of conspiring to damage his reputation and claimed that Jude had secretly started a company with his wife to mismanage P-Square’s money. Jude, who served as the group’s manager and director, responded during an Instagram Live session, denying the allegations and addressing the issue of royalties from P-Square’s music.
In response to the ongoing feud, 2Baba shared a remixed version of P-Square’s hit track “Forever” on his Instagram story, expressing his love and support for the brothers despite their differences. His post aimed to convey a message of unity and peace, encouraging the brothers to resolve their issues.
2Baba’s gesture received mixed reactions from fans and social media users. While some praised his attempt to encourage reconciliation, others drew parallels to his past issues with his former group, Plantashun Boiz, and questioned whether his message would have any impact on the Okoye brothers.
