Riyad Mahrez grabbed a hat-trick in a 3-0 win for Manchester City against Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final to get himself into the FA cup history books.

The Algerian skipper becomes the first player since 1958 to score a hat-trick in an FA Cup semi-final and the only Man City player to bag a treble at Wembley.

Mahrez registered the first goal from a penalty just before the first half, scored again in the 61st minute, and sealed his hat trick in the 66th minute.

The 32-year-old has five goals in the competition raising his tally in all competitions to 15 and eight assists, playing 38 fixtures.

City has won 11 of their last 12 games in all competitions and remain on course to win a memorable treble as they chase Arsenal in the Premier League and face a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

Manchester City will face the victors between Manchester United or Brighton when they clash for glory on Sunday.
