Nigerian musicians Burna Boy and Tems debuted at the 2023 Met Gala event, which took place on May 1st at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The theme for the prestigious event was ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,’ in honour of the late Karl Lagerfeld, a regular attendee at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.
Both Burna Boy and Tems turned up in custom designer ensembles and looked stylish as they descended the red carpet. Burna Boy opted for a blue and black checkered outfit, while Tems wore a black and white Robert Wun dress.
The Met Gala is one of the world’s most significant posh fundraising events, with an average entrance ticket cost of $30,000 for regular attendees, which is a staggering amount. VIP and VVIP tickets cost even more.
