West Ham United captain Declan Rice was among three players sent home just hours before their match with Manchester City.
Rice, Nayef Aguerd and Tomas Soucek missed the game on the trip to the Etihad due to a stomach bug.
French centre-back Kurt Zouma missed out after suffering an ankle injury against Palace. Furthermore, Italian striker, Gianluca Scamacca, is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
Man City fell to second in the table after Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates on Tuesday. However, a victory against West Ham would see them return to the summit of the Premier League.
West Ham will look to bolster their current four-point advantage in the Premier League’s relegation zone against title-chasing City, seeing their lead cut from six points to four after back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Crystal Palace in their last two games.
