The burial committee responsible for organizing late actor Murphy Afolabi’s funeral arrangements made a plea to popular actress Adunni Ade.
They urged her to return the N250,000 that the deceased actor had given her before his passing. The appeal occurred during a Lagos ceremony to honour the late actor’s memory. Speaking in the Yoruba language, the announcer conveyed that Murphy Afolabi had paid Adunni Ade the mentioned amount for an unfinished job prior to his demise.
Considering the unfortunate circumstances that prevented the job from being completed, the committee requested a refund of the payment. Furthermore, other actors and actresses who had received payments from Murphy were also asked to return the funds.
Murphy Afolabi tragically passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, reportedly due to a slip in his bathroom.
