Gianluigi Donnarumma, the goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain, has sent his best wishes to Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos as they say goodbye to the Parisians. Both Messi and Ramos, according to Donnarumma, have contributed to history and are legendary players.
Messi and Ramos joined PSG in 2021 from Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively. The exit of both players from PSG has been officially announced. The experienced players’ ability and experience were expected to help PSG win the coveted UEFA Champions League. Ramos struggled to stay healthy after joining the French Ligue 1 winners and missed 33 games in all competitions in his first season, thus the transfers did not work out as expected.
Although he featured in all but five of PSG’s 50 games this season, his performances often left much to be desired.
Messi, on the other hand, scored 32 goals and provided 35 assists in 75 appearances across competitions.
However, the Argentina World Cup winner became subject to criticism after struggling to impress PSG in the Champions League.
“They are two great players, players who have made history,” Donnarumma told French television channel Canal+.
“It is a great honor to have been able to play with them. They are two legends and we wish them the best for the future.”
