The People’s Redemption Party(PRP) has called on Abba Kabir, the governor of Kano State to prioritize the interests of the state as a whole rather than pursue personal vengeance.
The appeal was made in a communiqué released to newsmen on Monday by participants at the 2023 Kano PRP candidate conference.
The governor was also cautioned by the party not to be swayed by any person, entity, or political interest.
According to the party-
“Election is the only legal and acceptable way of producing leaders under Democratic
rule in Nigeria; and there must be a winner and a loser.“We are calling on the new government to put the collective interest of the state above any individual, fraternity interest or parochial sentiment.
“Revitalise our decaying education sector, improve public healthcare service delivery, come up with policies and programs that will enhance agriculture, commerce and industries, job creation and poverty eradication,”, the party stated.
The party congratulated the governor and other winners of elections from other political parties.
