Master Warrant Officer George was discovered dead on Sunday. She was an airwoman of the Nigerian Air Force serving with the 651 Base Services Group.
According to sources, the Air Force officer was discovered unconscious at her house at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, Lagos. She had hung herself inside her room at around 1400hrs on 10 June 2023.
According to a report, she was confirmed dead by three Air Provosts. They had arrived with another team of soldiers to transport her body to the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.
The sources stated that it is unclear what motivated her behaviour and that an inquiry is ongoing to determine the cause of her demise.
