The Lagos State Government has initiated a three-day training session for over 100 legal officials in the state public sector at Grade Level 13 and above.
The course, which is part of the state government’s learning and development strategy, is designed to teach officials legal and governance skills.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Establishments and Training, the training, which began on Tuesday, July 18, will conclude on Thursday, July 20.
Mr Olawale Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Establishments and Training, in his speech at the training site in Ikeja and urged participants to internalise the lessons learned from the training with the theme, “Enhancement of legal and governance skills for lawyers of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.”
He stated, “Every training programme presents opportunities for participants to learn and take away something new.”
While noting that he was certain there would be something new to learn from the training course, Musa cautioned them not to neglect to take new information away, declaring that such knowledge will be important at some time in the future.
Mrs Titilayo Shitta-Bey-Jeje, Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, praised the Ministry of Establishments and course for conducting the course.
The ministry recently held a two-day course in data security and information communication technology skills for over 100 personnel in the state public sector.
