Former England star, Rachel Yankey has warned the Lionesses that the Super Falcons will be a tough nut to crack.
The European champions will be up against the Super Falcons in their Round of 16 encounter at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday.
Sarina Wiegman’s side thrashed China 6-1 in their last group game and are yet to taste defeat in the competition.
The Super Falcons qualified from a tough group that has co-hosts Australia and Olympic champions Canada.
Randy Waldrum’s side also scaled through the group stage unbeaten.
Yankey recognized the former African champions’ threat and reckoned the Lionesses would find things tough against them.
“I think the next game will be quite tough to be honest. Nigeria play a very different style of football,” she told the Metro.
