The Borno State Government has authorised the immediate hiring of 52 medical personnel at Gwoza General Hospital.
Prof. Abubakar Kullima, Chief Medical Director of the Borno Hospital Management Board, said this while evaluating ongoing restoration work at the hospital.
According to Kullima, the 52 new employees will include two physicians, eight nurses, and 42 support workers.
Kullima stated that the event fulfilled Governor Babagana Zulum’s pledge made during a surprise visit to the hospital.
The director visited Bama, Uba, Lassa, Askira, Chibok, Konduga, and Damboa General Hospitals during his tour of the state’s hospitals.
According to NAN, Zulum voiced concern on July 16 over the General Hospital in Gwoza town’s lack of electricity and bad condition.
