Ariana Grande, taking a cue from her boyfriend Ethan Slater, has officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Dalton Gomez, marking the conclusion of their two-year marriage.
The pop sensation, who tied the knot with Dalton Gomez in May 2021, filed for divorce on September 18. Her attorney, Laura Wasser, submitted the divorce papers, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.
In a clearly coordinated effort, Dalton Gomez promptly responded by filing his own divorce papers.
According to sources, all the details of their divorce were settled before heading to the courthouse, emphasizing an amicable parting of ways. It has also been reported that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez had a prenuptial agreement in place, simplifying the division of assets.
The couple had separated in February 2023, after which Ariana Grande began dating her co-star Ethan Slater while filming “Wicked” overseas.
In a related development, Ethan Slater, following Ariana’s lead, initiated divorce proceedings from his wife, Lilly Jay. The couple, who had been high school sweethearts, got married in 2018 and welcomed a child together last year.
