Dr. Uchenna Okoye, the renowned British-Nigerian celebrity TV dentist, has tragically passed away at the age of 53 following a “sudden illness,” as confirmed by her representatives.

The highly respected cosmetic dentist was well-known for her appearances on ITV, where she offered valuable advice to viewers on dental care. She was also a regular guest on popular shows such as “10 Years Younger in 10 Days,” “Daybreak,” and “BBC Breakfast.”

A heartfelt statement posted on Dr. Uchenna’s Instagram revealed that she fell ill at home on Friday, September 15, and unfortunately passed away shortly thereafter. Her family has not disclosed the cause of her untimely death.

Her representatives shared with Sky News that the mother-of-one became ill at home, leaving her family, young daughter, staff at London Smiling Dental Group, and friends in deep sorrow.

Dr. Okoye was a medical expert on ITV’s “This Morning” and contributed her expertise to various other television programs, newspapers, and magazines. She was particularly recognized for her appearances on “10 Years Younger,” originally on Channel 4, and its spin-off show “10 Years Younger In 10 Days” on Channel 5.

In addition to her media appearances, Dr. Okoye managed two dental practices in London and had her own line of dental products.

Born in Nigeria, Dr. Uchenna Okoye relocated to the United Kingdom with her family at the age of six. She was married to Dr. Chidi Ngwaba, a Nigerian doctor specializing in lifestyle medicine. Her passing is a great loss to both the medical and television communities, and her legacy in dental care will be remembered by many.
