A section of the road connecting Ikotun roundabout to Ejigbo and other Lagos State villages has fallen.
Residents said that the road, which runs alongside a canal, caved in after a heavy rainstorm on Saturday, September 16.
Motorists were spotted gathering into a single lane as they crossed the damaged section of the road.
Residents said that erosion had steadily eroded the road over the years. They did, however, note that it was kept ignored despite a number of complaints to the authorities.
