Arrest Warrant Issued for Ex-Chelsea Striker in $30,000 Dog Reward Dispute

An arrest warrant has been issued for former England striker Daniel Sturridge following his non-appearance in a Los Angeles court concerning a monetary dispute related to a $30,000 reward for his missing pet dog.

The legal battle involves American rapper Killa Fame, who claims credit for reuniting Sturridge with his Pomeranian but alleges the promised reward was never paid. A default judgment in December 2021 mandated Sturridge to pay the sum.

Sturridge, who did not attend a recent ‘debtor’s exam’ addressing his financial situation, now faces a bench warrant for arrest.

Foster Washington, also known as Killa Fame, insists on principle, stating, “He promised me the money. It’s a substantial amount of money that could change my family’s life. He thinks he is above the law.”

Thomas Scully, Washington’s attorney, criticizes Sturridge’s non-compliance, asserting that the former footballer has the means to settle the dispute.

The legal saga unfolds as Sturridge, with a career spanning Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool, faces the consequences of the ongoing legal battle, raising questions about his financial accountability.
