Troop of the Nigerian Army has eliminated Mai-Nasara, a notorious bandit in Sangeko Forest, who was wanted in Kebbi State.
Five other suspected bandits, thought to be part of the same gang, were also apprehended by the crew.
This was revealed in a statement sent to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin, Kebbi on Tuesday by Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the governor of Kebbi State’s chief press secretary.
According to Idris, the success story was revealed by Alhaji Abdulrahman Usman, Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi.
Usman urged the public to provide the security forces with all the assistance and collaboration they require to be successful, even as he praised their valiant efforts in combating crimes and criminalities throughout the state, particularly in the southern region of Kebbi.
“Your support and cooperation is highly necessary for the security agencies to achieve the desired goal of flushing out criminals and restore peace and normalcy in our land.
“Security is supposed to be everybody’s business, therefore, people should endeavour to assist the security agencies in all ramification, especially with credible intelligence towards successful combats,” the director said. (NAN)
