Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi has penned a heartfelt tribute to his former best friend turned rival, Iyabo Ojo, as she celebrates her 46th birthday on the 21st of December 2023.
Yomi Fabiyi took to Instagram to share a photo of Iyabo Ojo along with a lengthy message detailing the reasons for their ongoing rift. The actor revealed that their relationship soured when Iyabo Ojo, in collaboration with Princess Comedian, allegedly sabotaged the rape case against veteran Nigerian Yoruba actor, Baba Ijesha. Yomi Fabiyi referred to it as an “organized crime” and stated that he will avoid physical reconciliation until he finds closure in Baba Ijesha’s case.
Despite their differences, Yomi Fabiyi extended birthday wishes to Iyabo Ojo, expressing that a part of him believes in her. He recounted how Iyabo Ojo had come to his rescue multiple times, helping him when he faced troubles and supporting him during the loss of his mother.
In the lengthy post, Yomi Fabiyi addressed the controversies surrounding the Baba Ijesha case, highlighting what he perceives as inconsistencies and issues with the evidence presented. He emphasized the need for logical handling of criminal issues and urged Iyabo Ojo to consider the rights and protection of all individuals involved.
