Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been sworn in.
The swearing-in ceremony was held on Wednesday, at the Government House in Alagbaka, Akure.
This came after Rotimi Akeredolu, the state governor, died on Wednesday at the age of 67 in Germany.
According to the state government, Akeredolu died of prostate cancer.
Akeredolu had taken two medical leave of absences, the first on April 3, 2023, and the second on July 10, 2023. On September 7, he returned to the nation and immediately alerted the state House of Assembly.
