The hair vendor who falsely accused Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Phyna, of renting a wig without returning it, has issued a deep apology to the reality star.
This development comes after Phyna revealed she had filed a petition against the vendor for public humiliation and embarrassment.
Phyna shared a printed note of the apology and undertaking the hair vendor, identified as Olaore Oluwatobi Damilola, provided to regain her freedom from police custody. In the heartfelt apology, the vendor expressed regret for embarrassing Phyna, clarifying that it was not her intention and seeking forgiveness from the reality star.
The saga unfolded towards the end of last year when the wig vendor accused Phyna of not returning a rented wig. Screenshots were shared online, showcasing Phyna and her team negotiating a lower price with the vendor rather than returning the wig. Phyna responded to the accusations, labeling the accuser a “clout chaser” and expressing weariness over constant online criticism.
In an Instagram live video, Phyna claimed the woman was attempting to blackmail her, stating that she didn’t know the accuser and suggesting her management team might have handled the transaction without informing her. Subsequently, Phyna filed a petition against the wig vendor, reporting her to the police for investigation over cyberbullying and conspiracy.
