Reality TV personality Vee Iye has provided insight into her recent homebound lifestyle, citing the escalating cost of living in Nigeria as the primary factor.
In a candid revelation, she acknowledged the financial strain imposed by the country’s economic conditions, leading her to opt for a more conservative approach to her daily activities.
Channeling Shallipopi’s iconic phrase, Vee emphasized the financial reality : “The lifestyle costs and I know that’s why I stay the heck at home.”
Despite the economic challenges, Vee remains resolute in her determination to enjoy life to the fullest. In her own words, she affirmed, “I must chop this life regardless.”
This isn’t the first time Vee has spoken out about the harsh realities of the Nigerian economy. In January 2024, she drew attention to the economic hardships facing Nigerians, humorously remarking on the steep exchange rate of £10 to 17,200 Naira. With a touch of sarcasm, she highlighted the absurdity of the situation while also acknowledging the global economic turmoil, noting that even seeking refuge in the UK wasn’t a viable option due to its own economic challenges.
