Militant group behind Okuama killing dares FG, demands waterways security

Amagbein Force, a terrorist organisation believed to have killed 17 military troops at Okuama, Delta State, on March 14, has asked that the Federal Government give the group control over waterway security.

In a video that went viral today, one of the group’s members claimed to be speaking for Amagbein, the River Lord, his commander.

Since then, the Army has recognised Amagbein as the mastermind behind the March 12 massacre of its soldiers. Last Monday, it followed Amagbein to the Igbomotoru town in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, but was unable to locate him.

Igbomotoru’s royal father was exiled from his kingdom by Amagbein, who is presently at large.

The guy with a beard, who was wearing a singlet and had a white band around his head, claimed that Amagbein is descended from the late Isaac Adaka Boro, the commander of the Ijaw movement.

“We, the followers will stand with Amagbein until death do us apart.

“We are begging the Federal Government to ensure that the waterways security is given to the person doing the right work.

“Bunkering will not stop if the Federal Government refuses to attend to us in a peaceful, easy way.”
