Troops of the Nigerian Army, responding to a distress call, stopped an armed kidnapping attempt along Nasarawa-Keffi Road near the Federal Polytechnic in Nasarawa State and freed the victim.
The army carried out the rescue mission on Thursday, April 4, 2024, during a regular patrol along the Nasarawa-Keffi road in Nassarawa Local Government Area, Nassarawa State.
The crooks had launched an attack on the unsuspecting citizen in an attempt to kidnap him, but the forces, informed by attentive residents, promptly intervened and averted the situation, freeing the victim.
The soldiers also seized one of the kidnappers, who had been injured in a shootout with the crooks.
The injured suspect and the rescued kidnap victim, who both sustained minor injuries during the foiled kidnapping, were instantly sent to a hospital for medical treatment.
