Filmmaker and Journalist Sam Olatunji has criticized actress Angela Okorie over her recent accusations against fellow actress Mercy Johnson and her late mother.
Earlier, Angela Okorie had made claims suggesting that Mercy Johnson’s mother practiced witchcraft, alleging that she had the habit of manipulating people’s destinies. Reacting to these allegations, Olatunji expressed disbelief at Okorie’s assertions, questioning how she could make such accusations without any basis. He urged her fans to check on her mental well-being, suggesting that she might be experiencing a breakdown.
In a statement, Olatunji emphasized Okorie’s history of calling out others while maintaining a self-perceived flawless character. He advised her to reflect on her own mental state before making such accusations against others.
Olatunji’s remarks garnered support from many, with several individuals echoing his sentiments in the comments section. However, Okorie’s controversial statements are not new, as she has previously engaged in public disputes with fellow colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Last year, Okorie targeted actresses Kate Henshaw, Uche Elendu, and Anita Joseph, accusing them of various wrongdoings. She also recently criticized actor Zubby Michael for his response to the death of their colleague, Junior Pope.
Okorie’s behaviour has sparked debate within the industry, with some suggesting that she may need professional assistance to address underlying issues. Despite the controversies, Okorie remains active on social media, where she has hinted at distancing herself from certain colleagues who she feels have shown indifference towards her.
