Nigerian socialite Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has extended his heartfelt condolences to singer Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, following the loss of Flavour’s beloved father.
On Wednesday, May 22nd, Flavour announced his father’s passing through an emotional video on his Twitter page, bidding him a heartfelt farewell.
In a supportive gesture, Cubana Chief Priest took to his Instagram page to comfort the grieving singer. He encouraged Flavour to cry no more, assuring him that his father is now in a better place. He also mentioned that he and other prominent figures, referred to as “Big Ballers,” would be visiting Umunze to show their support.

This message comes in a period of mourning for several Nigerian celebrities who have recently lost their loved ones.
Days earlier, Nollywood actress Faithia Williams announced the death of her father on her Instagram page, expressing her profound sadness and praying for his soul to rest in peace. Her colleagues in the industry, including Tawa Ajisefinni, Foluke Daramola Salako, Bimpe Akintunde, Joke Silva, and Yinka Quadri, extended their condolences and support.
In December 2023, actress Chizzy Alichi also experienced the devastating loss of her father, which led to an emotional breakdown on social media. She shared how his death had profoundly affected her life, particularly lamenting that he would never get to meet his grandchildren.
Similarly, actress Mimi Orjiekwe mourned the loss of her father, Ozo Dr. Thomas Chukwuike Orjiekwe, after a brief illness. In a press statement, she expressed the depth of her family’s grief and how much they would miss him.
