Role Description
This is a full time, hybrid role for an Architecture journalist for Highbrow Living magazine located in Lagos State, Nigeria, with flexibility for some remote work. The Architecture journalist will be responsible for researching, writing, and producing articles on architecture and the built environment. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in design and architecture, and will be able to deliver informative and engaging content that appeals to a wide audience. The Architecture journalist will work closely with editors, photographers and other members of the creative team to produce original stories, features, and other editorial content.
Qualifications
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to write for different audiences
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge of architecture and the built environment
- Experience in journalism, editing, or content creation
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and analyze relevant information
- Knowledge of photography and visual storytelling
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, architecture, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Experience with SEO and social media platforms is preferred
- Experience in podcast production is a plus
