US Government Rejects Neuralink’s Plan to Test Brain Chips on Humans.

The US government has reportedly rejected plans by Elon Musk’s company, Neuralink, to test brain chips on humans. They cited various serious human-safety issues as their reason for the rejection. Neuralink aims to develop a brain-computer interface that could cure chronic diseases like paralysis and blindness.

Despite being rejected by US health agencies, Musk has predicted that Neuralink will begin human testing of its revolutionary brain implant soon. However, the FDA’s main safety concerns include the device’s lithium battery. It also includes the possibility of the implant’s microscopic cables migrating to other regions of the brain. There’s also the question of whether and how the device could be removed without harming brain tissue.

They are however still working to resolve these issues almost a year after being denied human trials.
