In a candid Instagram Q&A session, talent manager Ubi Franklin opened up about his enduring feelings for his ex-wife and mother of his son, Lilian Esoro.
When a fan asked,
Are you still in love with your son’s mom, the most beautiful Lilian?” Ubi responded, “We have a son together, and love will always live there.”
Another follower inquired about his future plans for marriage, to which Ubi expressed optimism, saying, “Yes.” When asked if he would remarry or reconcile with Lilian, he playfully invited fans to find him a wife, announcing, “Application portal is open now.”
Their close bond was evident during Davido’s wedding, where Ubi and Lilian shared a warm moment. In a viral video, Ubi praised Lilian, calling her “my baby before the world,” as they exchanged pleasantries.
Lilian and Ubi’s marriage began in 2015 but ended a year after the birth of their son. Their divorce was finalized on January 28, 2021, following a prolonged court battle. Reflecting on the end of their marriage, Ubi explained on Instagram that staying together without love breeds resentment and hate. Lilian also shared her struggles, revealing that she had doubts from the engagement stage but does not regret the marriage, as it brought her beloved son. She admitted that the divorce led to depression, for which she sought professional help.
