The presidency deployed a high-level team to Katsina State to express condolences to the family of the late Hajiya Dada Yar’Adua.
President Bola Tinubu, who is in China for the Africa-China Cooperation Summit, is understood to have asked Vice President Kashim Shettima to express his condolences to the family.
Hajiya Dada Yar’Adua, the late President’s mother, passed away.
Tinubu had expressed his condolences to the Yar’Adua family on the death of Hajiya Dada.
Hajiya Dada, the mother of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, died on Monday at the age of 92.
Tinubu also expressed his condolences to Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, the people of Katsina State, and all those whose lives the late matriarch affected.
According to a statement from his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale said:
”The President mourns Hajiya Dada, yet extols her legacy of compassion, faith, honesty, and good fellowship.
“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the deceased and affirms that the beloved and remarkable matriarch of the Yar’Adua family will always be remembered for the support, peace, joy, and comfort she offered to many.”
