Maulud Nabiyy: Muslims, Emulate Prophet Mohammad’s example of peace — Gov Adeleke

Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, has urged the Muslim Ummah to recognize the wonderful example of peace and hope that the Holy Prophet Mohammad embodies.

Adeleke further urged Muslims in the state to accept the essence of the birth of Allah’s Holy Prophet, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), which is for the benefit of all humanity.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on the Muslim festival of Eid-el-Maulud, Adeleke thanked Muslims in the state and abroad on the significant occasion that Prophet Muhammad’s birth represented.

While reiterating strict commitment to the concept of compassion and kindness reflected by Prophet Muhammad’s life and teachings, the governor stated that his administration is devoted to measures and interventions that will alleviate current sufferings and ensure a brighter tomorrow.

The statement reads:

“On this blessed day, I extend my joyous wishes to Muslim faithfuls, particularly in Osun state, as we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

“Prophet Muhammad was a blessing of our Allah to mankind as he not only lighten our journey on Earth but also serve as an assurance of a better place in the afterlife.

“As we celebrate the blessing that his birth serves on humanity, I urge us all to embrace his draw from his timeless wisdom in building a just and harmonious society.

“As much as we celebrate the significance of this day, we must not let the message of peace and unity, which is the hallmark of Prophet Muhammad’s life, be lost on us, and that we strive to embrace the principles of love and kindness that the Holy Prophet embodied.”

The governor emphasized his government’s commitment to religious harmony, claiming that it will generate long-term peace and stability, resulting in a thriving society.
