Nigerian rapper Eva Alordiah recently sparked discussions on social media about sexual dissatisfaction in marriages, highlighting it as a reason some women may stray.

Taking to her Twitter page, now known as X, the “Light Out” rapper shared her thoughts, emphasizing that many women face “brutal sexual dissatisfaction” in their relationships. She noted that, in her view, most men don’t take the time to understand or address this issue, which often leads to marital problems.

Eva expressed,

So when are we going to finally talk about the fact that so many women are facing brutal sexual dissatisfaction in their marriages, and most men do not even care to learn why or how to help?”

She added that “a well-loved and deeply connected woman is a happy woman who will not stray.” Her statement stirred responses, with one fan countering that “a cheat is a cheat” and argued that infidelity has no justification. Eva responded, acknowledging that while cheating is wrong, women and men often stray for different reasons.

The reactions were mixed, with some agreeing with Eva’s perspective on relationship dynamics and others firmly opposing any justification for infidelity. One fan wrote,

There is no justification for adultery please; if your husband is not satisfying you, tell him.” Another commented, “Men suffer in silence too; relationships go both ways.”

Similarly, Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has previously addressed the issue, sharing her struggles as a faithful woman. She expressed frustration with husbands who may neglect their wives while being unfaithful. Earlier this year, Sarah shared a story about slapping a married man who approached her inappropriately, expressing her commitment to integrity.

In a related conversation, veteran actress Rita Edochie offered marital advice, urging women not to stay in abusive situations. Rita spoke out against women remaining in relationships where they are mistreated or body-shamed, encouraging them to “walk away without looking back.”

Eva’s comments have opened a larger conversation about relationship expectations, the importance of communication, and the need for partners to address each other’s needs.
