We’re not recruiting — FRSC warns job seekers against scams

Federal Road Safety Corps, or FRSC, has denied reports that it is hiring, urging potential job seekers to avoid scams.

Olusegun Ogungbemide, the FRSC Public Education Officer, made this announcement on Friday in Abuja.

Ogungbemide stated that the explanation was essential due to claimed scammers’ frantic attempts to dupe unwary job applicants.

He said:

“The attention of the FRSC has been drawn to a publication by online platforms misinforming the public about ongoing recruitment of personnel into the services of the Corps.

“This medium is to let the public know that the Corps is not recruiting at the moment, nor is there any ongoing arrangement to that effect.”

He quoted Corps Marshal Malam Shehu Mohammed as advising applicants seeking to join the FRSC, as well as the general public, to ignore fake and misleading publications, noting that recruitment processes in the Corps have always been transparent, credible, and made public.

Ogungbemide stated that such recruitments were typically announced through advertisements and alerts on all accessible media channels, including the Corps’ website, social media handles, and the National Traffic Radio.

“The public is by this publication warned to desist from any form of engagement with the purported scammers and purveyors of the misinformation as the Corps will not be liable should anyone fall victim,” he added.
