Social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM) has addressed the persistent mention of his name in conversations surrounding Priscilla Ojo’s recent wedding. The daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo celebrated her union with Tanzanian musician Juma Jux in a grand two-part ceremony, but the event has sparked renewed drama on social media.
Taking to his Instagram and Twitter accounts, VDM expressed frustration over the unsolicited association of his name with Priscilla’s wedding. In his posts, he implored individuals and bloggers to allow the newlywed to enjoy her special moments without unnecessary controversy.
VDM remarked:
Someone is having a wedding; you guys aren’t allowing her to enjoy her wedding, una don carry my name enter again. Let the young lady enjoy her day—that’s the least you bloggers can do.”
He also referenced past instances, such as Obi Cubana’s 50th birthday, where his name was similarly dragged into unrelated celebrations. Despite describing himself as “busy and petty,” VDM urged the public to prioritize positivity during joyous occasions.
The tensions between VDM and Iyabo Ojo’s family are not new. Last year, a heated exchange erupted when VDM made disparaging comments about Priscilla and Iyabo, suggesting negative generational patterns. Priscilla defended her mother, alluding to VDM’s past as a two-time resident in Kuje prison.
This sparked a series of accusations, with VDM firing back by making unverified claims about Iyabo and her daughter. The feud between Iyabo and VDM further intensified following Iyabo’s involvement in seeking justice for the late singer Mohbad. VDM criticized Iyabo’s efforts, leading to a fiery exchange of insults from both parties.
