Suspected Boko Haram insurgents launched a deadly attack on mourners in Borno State, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals and leaving several others injured.
The assault occurred during a funeral ceremony in a remote village within the state.
Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants arrived on motorcycles and opened fire on the gathering without warning.

The sudden attack caused panic and chaos, leading to multiple casualties. Security forces were alerted and responded promptly, but the attackers had already fled the scene by the time reinforcements arrived.
The injured victims were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Local authorities have condemned the Boko Haram attack and assured the public that efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators and prevent future incidents.
